 1.  A New Experience of God’s Love

Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail.  They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness
(Lam 3:23).

 

2.  New Joy

He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see and fear and put their trust in the LORD.   Blessed is the man who makes the LORD his trust, who does not look to the proud, to those who turn aside to false gods
(Psa. 40:1-4).

 

3.  A New Heart

I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.  And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws
(Ez 36;26-27)

 

4. New Attitudes

You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires;  to be made new in the attitude of your minds;  and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.
(Eph 4:22-24)

 

5.  New things God wants to lead me to

“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past.  See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland”
(Isa 43:18-19)

 

6. A New Beginning

“You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be made new in the attitude of your minds; and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.”
(2 Cor 5:17).

 

7. A New desire for holiness

What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase?  By no means! We died to sin; how can we live in it any longer?  […]  just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.
(Rom 6:1-4).
